I am a Senior System Engineer at Qualcomm's Research & Development Center focusing on Contextual Intelligence.

I was a research assistant in the Embedded Reasoning Area (ERA) in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) where I work with Johan de Kleer on model-based diagnosis, on the integration of planning, scheduling and diagnosis and on qualitative reasoning. At the same time I was a Ph.D. student associated to Prof. Michael Beetz's Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory (IAS) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Research Interests

The goal of my work is to enable systems to accurately determine their state, to intelligently reason about their diverse capabilities, to adaptively coordinate their components in the context of dynamic goals, and to robustly control their behavior by using techniques of the field of artificial intelligence.

My current focus is on the integration of planning, scheduling and diagnosis which we call Pervasive Diagnosis and on qualitative reasoning for planning systems with faults multiple in number, intermittent in appearance and potentially caused by hidden component interactions.
